The Swiss Centre for Innovations in Learning (scil) promotes the competent and meaningful use of new technologies in university education. scil provides consulting, coaching, research, and moderation to accelerate progress towards enhanced quality in higher education. The University of St.Gallen has affiliated the new Swiss Centre for Innovations in Learning (scil) to its Institute of Business Education and Educational Management. scil is initiated and supported by the Gebert Rüf Foundation.

scil provided the seed funding for the elearning-reviews project and initiated the project with resources available in-house. In particular, scil implemented the software for elearning-reviews.org, created the topic structure, and wrote the first 100 reviews. In the future, scil will continue to run, main, and further develop the elearning-reviews server. To sustain operations of the for-free reviews platform, scil will also seek and coordinate partnerships with external editors for literature selection, and with external reviewers for writing reviews.
